Mr. Arnold Eugene McDaniel, 80, of Rutherford College passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at his residence, following a period of declining health.

Arnold was born May 28, 1941 in Burke County to the late Rev. William June McDaniel and Lola MaryAnne Cline McDaniel. He loved spending time with his grandsons, playing the guitar, singing, vintage automobiles, and in his younger years bowling and riding motorcycles.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by six brothers, Harold, Paul, Glenn, Ray, Charles and Billy McDaniel, and four sisters, Loretta Childers, Clara Lane, Nell Crump and Ruth Reece.

Survivors include his daughters, Leslie McDaniel Huffman and husband Tim of Connelly Springs, and Sherri McDaniel Blevins and husband Richard of Hudson; their mother, Lois Ilene McDaniel; three grandsons, Timothy Tyler Huffman, William Charles Blevins, and Adam Nathaniel Blevins; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday June 21, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
