Dallas - Margaret Denise Tatlock Hanlin, 55, passed away suddenly on June 12, 2021 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.


She was born in Gaston County on March 13, 1966. Denise loved her flowers, all animals, especially horses and dogs. She often volunteered at Dickson Animal Clinic to assist with their care of the animals. She is preceded in death by her stepfather, Ken Sherrill.


Survivors include her loving husband, Kenny Hanlin of 19 years; her mother, Kay Seagle Sherrill; her father Bob and his wife Sharon Tatlock; her children Jenna Wood Plemmons, Chelsie Thibault White and Tanner Short; grandchildren, Chase Brooks, Colt Plemmons, Emery White and Michael White; sister, Dana and husband Chad Atchley and a brother Marc Hunt and wife Grace; and her fur babies Little Bit, Gillie and Ginger


The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday June 15, 2021 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home

Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Leo Kuykendall officiating.

Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery

Pallbearers will be Chad Atchley. Tanner Short, Keith Wood, Michael Brandon Staton and Michael White
