Mrs. Effie Grace Presnell Crane, 73, of Morganton passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Grace Hospital, following a period of declining health.

Effie was born on October 1, 1947 in Ashe County to the late Dewey Presnell and Jettie Presnell. She was retired from the furniture manufacturing industry, and was a member of Lamb of God Ministries. Effie had a love for God, her family and her Bantam chickens. She was a founding member of Friendship Poultry Club in Morganton.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her siblings, William Lloyd, Gilbert Cecil, Olen Craft, Hannah Melinda, and Lovie Lea Presnell.

Survivors include her husband, Robert William Crane of the home, her son, Keith Crane and wife Misty of Morganton, granddaughter, Ashley Crane Bowen and husband Nick, and great-grandson, Kolton Bowen. Also surviving is a sister, Mary Sue Edwards and husband Don of Morganton, a brother, Larry Presnell and wife Peggy of Mocksville, and her adopted grandson, Robbie Toney of Calabash.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with Rev. Mike Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
