Grace Anna Colvard, 82, of Baton, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Lenoir Healthcare Nursing Home, following a period of declining health.
Grace was born on March 29, 1939 in Watauga County to the late Robert and Ellie Colvard. She was retired from the medical field, where she worked as physical therapist assistant and a nursing assistant for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Griffin Pollard, a son, Timmy James Griffin and five siblings.
Survivors include her daughter, Penny Griffin Dolgas of Baton, and two grandsons, James Griffin of Hudson, and Jeremy Griffin of Lenoir.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 10:30 -11:00 Am on Saturday at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
