John Allen Stout, 70, passed away at the Jim and Betsy Bryan Hospice Home in Pittsboro, North Carolina on June 15, 2021. He was born to John Earl and Florence Stout in Nashville, TN on November 15, 1950.

John's life was defined by a love of music and the people around him. He worked as the manager of various record stores for nearly 30 years and, during this time, he developed a vast and eclectic music collection that he delighted in sharing with others. Indeed, he connected with those he loved by sharing and playing music with them, leading to many deep and decades-long friendships. He was similarly a loving father who did his best to support his children while also allowing them to find their own paths through life.

He is survived by his brother Jim Stout and wife Glenne, Richmond, VA, sister Shirley Sult and husband Donald, Leesburg, VA, son John Eldon, Somerville, MA, daughter Kaitlyn and partner David Webster, Durham, NC, grandchildren Mason and Ava, and dog Bella.
