Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Vivian Bryant Carpenter Shepherd, 80, of Selma, NC. Mrs. Shepherd passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021, in Raleigh, NC at UNC Rex Hospital. Arrangements have been entrusted to RL Sanders Funeral home, Smithfield, NC.
Mrs. Shepherd was born on March 28, 1941, in Wayne County, NC to the late Willie Norman and Penina Bryant. She was employed by Champion Products in Wendell & Clayton, NC for 22 years, retiring in 1997.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Elmo Shepherd; 2 sons: Charles Carpenter and Willie Carpenter, Jr.; 2 daughters: Iris Smith (Johnny) and Denise Carpenter; extended children: Alexander Shepherd (Karen), Tim Shepherd (Darlene), Janice Shepherd (Ronald), Barbara Shepherd, Michael Shepherd (Danielle); and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
